These wedding traditions are really EXIST!

08/19/2019 by Marco Leave a Comment

The world with its diversity and uniqueness in all of the countries makes life more colorful and there is no end to talk about. One of them is about love. It is natural and pure. Some people said that God gave us a half part heart and we need to find the other half to complete ourselves. But how if a couple already finds their other half and have a completed heart? The answer is to commit to marriage. A marriage unites 2 humans and 2 families with their own traditions. And these are some wedding traditions with its uniqueness.

  1. Sweden

The 4th biggest country in Europe has a lot of wedding traditions. For example, it is Kissing party. This tradition is allowing people to kiss the bride or the groom (usually on the cheeks) when one of them is not in the table together to go to the toilet or anything. Do you want to have a Swedish friend now?

  1. Borneo

Are you strong enough to hold your needs to urinate? Tidong people in Borneo observe a tradition that states the bride and groom must not leave their home or use the bathroom for three whole days after their wedding ceremony and are kept under watchful guard and allowed only a small amount of food and drink. In Tidong culture, not observing the ritual is said to tarnish the bride and groom with bad luck and to give them many kids.

  1. Tahiti

Before getting married, the citizens of Marquesas Island have to do their tradition which is step on the back of their families. This is such a fun tradition. It will be more fun if their families also need free shiatsu treatment.

  1. Kenya

To get their parents’ permission, the Bride and Groom-to-be of Masai, they have to let their head and chest to be spat out by their oldest families. It’s a symbol of gratitude and it’s also a common thing to do. Not only to get permission for their marriage, the spit-out tradition usually used to congrats someone for a newborn baby.

  1. Korea

For a Korean man who will get married, they have to let their friends beating their foot. They believe that this tradition will give the groom more vitality on his first night as a husband with his wife. First of all, the groom needs to take off his shoes and tie his feet together with a rope or a sash. They then lift his legs off the ground and start beating the soles of his feet with a wood stick or dried yellow corvine fish

It’s very unique, isn’t it? And until now, those traditions are still preserved and they keep it forwarded to the next generation. How about your traditions?

The Role Of The Maid Of Honour

03/27/2019 by Marco Leave a Comment

The Role Of The Maid Of Honour

The maid of honour is an import that has caught on in big way here, across the pond. Primarily the ‘lead bridesmaid’, an excellent maid of honour will make the run-up to the big day extra special for the bride, but a bad maid of honour can be an unmitigated disaster.

For the bride

  1. Make the right choice

Appointing your maid of honour is probably going to be an easy decision, she will usually be a best friend or sister. It’s best to make this decision with your head as well as your heart. You will want someone you love to share this experience with you, but you will need a maid of honour who is level-headed, responsible and organised.

  2. Define the role

Make sure your maid of honour knows what is expected of them right from the get-go. Every bride has her personal idea of what a maid of honour should do. As a general rule, they will arrange the hen do, help pick your wedding dress, attend all dress fittings, assist with wedding admin (such as addressing envelopes or making party favours), and act as the bride’s point -of-call person on the day itself.

  3. Make them feel valued

Your maid of honour will be spending a lot of time, money and energy on your wedding preparation, don’t forget to give her a special shout-out on the big day. If your maid of honour has gone above and beyond the call of duty, you could use the quiet moments on the morning of your wedding to give her a personalised thank you gift.

For the maid of honour

  • Be available

Being asked to undertake the role of maid of honour is an enormous compliment. It’s also a significant responsibility. It will probably be time-consuming and stressful, so before you accept the role, make sure that you can be available for the duration of the pre-wedding period. Now is not the time to move abroad or take a gap year, your bride needs you!

  • Make the bride delegate

In the early days, every bride wants to plan the entire wedding by themselves, before realising what a massive undertaking it actually is and having a small nervous breakdown. Your job is to help the bride enjoy a stress-free wedding, and that starts with the prep. Make the bride delegate as much as possible, to you or others, and you will help keep the stress at bay.

  • Carry supplies

Every good maid of honour has an emergency bridal kit on her at all times during the day of the wedding. A kit should include a needle and thread (for wedding dress mishaps), dental floss, aspirin, spare makeup, hair pins, tissues, and, of course, a hip flask. At least one of these items will end up saving the day.

Get Hitch in Paradise

01/09/2019 by Marco Leave a Comment

Finally, she says ‘I do!’. Congratulations, you have just started to plan your big day and it’s time for the hunt for the perfect everything-you-need-wedding-related. Yeay!. Besides hunting the perfect dress is count as a major part of the planning process, you have to find the perfect wedding venue for your dream wedding first.
When you dream about your epic dream wedding in beach vibes plus honeymoon kinda situation, there’s nothing as near the idea as Bali. The overwhelmingly and magically beautiful Earth’s Paradise offers everything it can provide from the various venues such as the Beachfront, Stunning Chapels, Private Villas, Cliff-top, etc to the FOMO for everyone (just wait until they see the photos ;)).
These are the list for you to make your journey down the aisle in Bali an easy one:

1. Choose the season

Not to mention Bali is only perfect when the dry and shoulder season (which is between April and October), but it is better for you to consider about the rain and the crowd (let’s not forget this factor because, well, nobody wants to get married in a resort teeming with other guests). Having your wedding with a warm tropical shower is another option if you had likely chosen the date already, for example, you can ask for help to your wedding organizer to arrange the plan B so you still have your wedding be your DREAM wedding.

2. Ask for help to the expert

Budget is one of the nightmares for brides and grooms, especially for those who want their dream wedding to be achieved as they expected. With hire the expert and find the right Wedding Planner, they can help you from a-z of your wedding and they will help you with your maximum budget by pressing the vendor’s expenses by hiring the budget-friendly one. Good news because all wedding planners must be legally registered as a member of the Bali Wedding Association (the only government body in Bali) so you’ll know you’re in safe hands if your planner ticks off all of these credentials.

3. Decide the type of your wedding

When it comes to you for tying the knot in Bali, not all weddings are legally binding partnerships. Commitment type of wedding is another option for those of you if religious beliefs don’t match up. Another reason why you should have your wedding in Bali is because Bali is one of the places which you can legally marry for most nationalities with help from the wedding planner.

4. Find the venue that suits you best

Choosing the right venue in Bali is key. Villa is one of the most popular venue choices because you get the benefit of privacy (the most important thing for most couples). You have the place for yourself, so you don’t have to worry about the music that needs to be turned down by 10 pm or the guest hotel that trying to nab a canapé from the buffet, the after-party, and you can have your guests just for you. The same thing applies to beach weddings. Both villa and beach are not necessarily the cheapest or expensive than the other, it all depends on what you want and what you need. So, you can adjust to your budget.

5. Start with basic

When you start with starter packages, you can easily get the ball rolling and the bouquets flying. You can add on the extras and the partial services as you go down the line if you want to. If you tend to direct booking your vendor as an extra, you can find a more budget-conscious option is to go local. Hire a locally based wedding planner to help. It is a great way to save on import costs and support the local economy at the same time. Plus, you can also avoid excessive expenditure by start your arrangement with basic packages. Most of the time, a basic wedding package can act as a good starting point.

A wedding is a ceremony where two people are united in marriage, sharing the rest of your life with the one you love, and as everybody’s dream having the most beautiful wedding ever, you can choose Bali as your witness tying the knot. What’s not to love saying ‘I do’ while enjoying an island vacation at the same time? Don’t forget to do the research for your options carefully and choose wisely where you get married and who is going to help you to pull it all together.
